A new gallery for photographs has been included on the website.
Photography has been used by artists for several hundred years from the early camera obscura to the latest digital cameras of today.
Photographs have given artists a new way of seeing, capturing motion, seeing details or putting things in perspective.
Today, digital photography provides a vast resource for image manipulation and inspiration. The opportunity to immediately change a colour, increase contrast, add or delete an object, soften an edge or even change the focal point provides an artist with an immediate electronic sketchbook.
Photographs can provide inspiration for new paintings but can in their own right be used to create images.
