A short book taking a novel journey through a painting has just been published by David Humphries.
considers ten key design aspects on the journey; looking at the route through a
painting, the focal points to look out for, the directions to keep you on the
as well as the design elements and aesthetics that may add to the enjoyment.
There are are suggestions as to how to sign, title and frame the painting.
The book has been based upon the experience of the author over many years as he sought to answer the question why do some paintings work and not others.
"The future roads to travel comes from being original, developing good techniques, taking risks, pushing the medium beyond what is normal and painting from the heart"
This book and subject will feature in a talk to the Bridlington Art Society in July 2009
